Andrew Campbell is the Principal and Founder of the Campbell Advisory Group.
Andrew’s passionate about helping leaders and teams strengthen their high stakes decision making capabilities and supporting them with complex issues of governance, risk and ethics. Moving beyond mere spreadsheets, Andrew’s practical approach emphasises the importance of trust and people focused actions to achieve outcomes - something which has never been more important, as we learn to work with the powers of new technology.
Having spent more than 25 years working at the highest levels of Government, including serving six Victorian Premiers, Andrew has a deep knowledge of the real pressures that leaders and organisations confront daily.
Most recently, Andrew was Deputy Secretary, Corporate Governance and Support at the Department of Justice and Community Safety in Victoria. Prior to this, he was Acting Deputy Secretary Governance Policy and Coordination at the Department of Premier and Cabinet Victoria (DPC) with responsibility for chairing the Public Sector Administration Committee during the peak of the COVID-19 response in 2020.
Andrew is also Adjunct Professor (Practice) at Monash University’s innovative Emerging Technologies Research Lab. A particular area of interest is how trust and transparency underpins digital futures and technology. He is also a faculty member at the Australia and New Zealand School of Government (ANZSOG) and President of the Victorian Government’s Public Records Advisory Council.
